How to Donate Items

What to Donate

Goodwill Easterseals accepts donations of clean, useable items in sellable condition. We regret that we cannot accept all donations because of safety, privacy, and other concerns. In addition, Goodwill Easterseals follows regulations set forth by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) for the
re-sale of goods.

Appliances: small, portable, and working (toasters, irons, microwaves, telephones, etc.) Air Conditioners
Books Ammunition/Explosives/Firearms
CDs, DVD’s, albums and cassette tapes (commercial video/audio only) Animals
Clothing Bathroom Fixtures
Computers (working or non-working condition) Recalled items
Furniture Clothing with stains, tears, or holes
Household items Construction supplies (vanities, sinks, drywall, etc.)
Jewelry/accessories Hazardous/flammable materials (paint, chemicals, poison, etc.)
Linens Propane/Oxygen tanks
Purses, bags, and luggage Gas cans
Rugs Fire extinguishers
Shoes Newspapers and magazines
Stereo systems Swing sets
Toiletries (unopened only, please) Tires, Wheels, and automotive parts
Toys Wall-to-wall carpet and padding
  Windows and Doors
  Non- Flat Screen Televisions

Please Do:

  • Donate During Store Hours
  • Wash or dry-clean clothing.
  • Test electrical equipment and battery-operated items.
  • Include all pieces and parts to children’s games and toys.

Please Do Not:

  • Leave items unattended outside a collection center.
  • Donate broken or soiled items.
  • Give items that have been recalled, banned, or do not meet current safety standards.
